*Geoffrey, who is based in Canterbury plays a variety of instruments including, amongst others, violin, viola, 'cello, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, mandola, ukulele and cuatro.

His long career spans many areas of the music business and he has worked with many well-known artists, composers and producers.

In 1972 until today Geoffrey has been recording, touring, songwriting and broadcasting with CARAVAN. In 1976 he started playing with the PENGUIN CAFé ORCHESTRA with whom he has continued to perform until the present day. Geoffrey has also arranged and contributed to the composition of several Penguin Caf é Orchestra pieces. Other groups/artists with whom Geoffrey has or is still working include MURRAY HEAD (1977 until the present), RUPERT HINE (1978-1984), CAFÉ JACQUES (1979-1981), PAUL BRADY (1987-1990), BLOSSOMVILLE INK (writing and producing film and TV music 1982-1990), BOB GELDOF (1990 until the present), RENAUD (1990 until the present), JIM LEVERTON, touring as a duo and recording studio albums - 1993-the present).

In 1993 Geoffrey released his first studio album VIOLA MON AMOUR.

From 1990-1994, Geoffrey was visiting lecturer in Fine Art at Canterbury College, performing the same role at Winchester School of Art in 1995 until 1998. From 1996 to 1998, Geoffrey was also visiting lecturer in performing arts at South Kent College.

In 1997-1998, Geoffrey was involved with touring and broadcasting with ELSA and in 1998 was musical director of strings for 'Un, Deux, Trois Soleils' with Steve Hillage for the musicians RACHID TAHA, KHALED & FAUDEL.

The other main "wing" of Geoffrey's career involves composing music for film, television and dance.

Projects include THE SHOUT (1977), music and effects with RUPERT HINE for a film by JERZY SKOLAMOVSKI, work for STV including LIFE IN FOCUS - JENNY GILBERTSON (1980), DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR (1982) and SPACE TO BREATHE (1982) all STV documentaries; WALLACE'S WARBLERS (1981) an STV play.

In 1982 Geoffrey wrote, performed and recorded the theme and incidental music for a film by EDUARDO MOLINARO entitled POUR CENT BRIQUES T'AS PLUS RIEN and in 1983 and 1984 Geoffrey composed the theme and incidental music for AUNT SUZANNE and FIRE AT MAGILLIGAN, respectively, both BBC Northern Ireland Plays.

In 1985 Geoffrey composed the theme and incidental music for BLOODHUNT, a BBC Scotland play for Screen Two and in 1986 composed the incidental music for BETTER OFF DEAD, a US feature film.

In 1988, Geoffrey along with Simon Jeffes was involved in the adaptation of seven pieces of Penguin Café Orchestra music for "STILL LIFE AT THE PENGUIN CAFE" a ballet choreographed by David Bintley for the Royal Ballet. The ballet is now part of the Royal Ballet's permanent repertoire and has been recorded by Thames TV for broadcast, for a commercial video and by the BBC Concert Orchestra for an album.

In 1989m Geoffrey composed, performed and recorded music for a feature film entitled LE DERNIER ETE together with MURRAY HEAD.

In 1992 Geoffrey performed music written by STEVE HILLAGE & amp; SALIF KEITA for the film SIRGAR LE LION, in 1993 performed on the soundtrack for a feature film entitled QUAND J'AVAIS CINQ ANS JE M'AI TUE and in 1997 performed five Penguin Caf é Orchestra pieces for a JEREMY THOMAS film entitled ALL THE LITTLE ANIMALS.
